Exciting News!!

My brother and his girlfriend who we all dearly love, GOT ENGAGED last night. Woohoo! Here is a picture of Jim and Kelly last night after the proposal. I think they are such a cute couple.


My sister and her fiancee are getting married in 2 months and now my brother is engaged. We love them dearly and welcome them to our rapidly growing family. We are so excited!

Static!!!

I have always known what STATIC cling was because we had it every-so-often in Southern California, when the winds would blow. Now I really know what STATIC is. It is so dry here in Colorado, and even with humidifiers going in the house all the time to add some moisture to the air, we have major static EVERY DAY...ALL DAY LONG! Its so bad that I shock my children when I go to pick them up or kiss them, I shock my husband when we kiss or hold hands, I get shocked anytime I wash my hands or touch a door knob. I even use 3 dryer sheets every time I run the dryer, but that still does not work. If anyone has any suggestions about getting rid of this STATIC electricity, please let me know, I would love to hear them.

First Visit

My parents came to visit us this weekend, and we had a blast. We all walked to a nearby park, had some yummy food, jumped on the trampoline (a lot!), did a little shopping and site seeing. It was a great weekend, but it is always hard to say good bye. I know we will see them again soon! We cant wait for another visit.

My Little Ones

Ryder always wants to hold his sissy and he also wants to kiss and pat her head all the time. Most of the time he is gentle, but sometimes his excitement gets the best of him. Luckily, Rylie is very patient, calm and tough. With a big brother like Ryder she has adapted well. :) Its a good thing they love each other. I'm a very lucky mommy.

Mother's Song

Recently the Disney channel became Disney Junior, and with that change has come some great things. One change that we love is when the Mother's Song lullaby comes on. Ryder loves it and the words really speak to me and warm my heart. So for all you mother's out there, I'm sure you can relate to this lullaby.

Best of Both Worlds

I have not been looking forward to talking to my boss and telling him I would not be returning to the office due to our family moving to Colorado. However, I called him yesterday to tell him the news, and mentioned that I would be interested in working part time from home (maybe about 20 - 25 hours per week) and to my surprise, he said OK. So now I am a part time marketer and a full time mom, and that sounds great to me! I still get to make some money, recieve my benefits, and spend all day with my children. I am definitely getting the best of both worlds.

New Business in Town

We have started a new business...yes, that's right Remmert Construction Management is born. We have finished creating our logo, business cards, and some other pieces to market Tyson as a General Contractor. The website is in the works and almost done. He recently passed all his tests and now holds his license for general contractor work. We are so proud of him and look forward to all the adventures this new endeavor brings us.

Our First Colorado Snow

This morning we all woke up to our first snow. We have lived here one week so far and have already received our first snow. This past week the weather has been so nice, in the upper 60's and then all of a sudden we have snow. Its not a lot of snow but it still makes everything look nice and white. Later this evening we are supposed to get 3 more inches. It is 22 degrees outside all day. We have had a cozy day indoors playing together.

On a side note, today Rylie is 8 weeks old, and Ryder is almost 2 years and 5 months old.

BIG NEWS!

So we have had some big news for quite some time, but I haven't posted anything about it. We have just been too busy and have wanted to keep it quiet for a little while. Well now that day has come for me to share.

As of yesterday, the Remmert's have moved. We are no longer in Trabuco Canyon, and actually we are no longer in California. We have moved to COLORADO.

I'm not so sure about this move so far, because I miss my parents and siblings already, but this is something we want to try out for our little family. Here's hoping Colorado brings us much happiness.

Goodbye for now California, it was a great 30 years, and you will be missed.

On another note...but also very big news. Ryder slept in his big boy bed for the first time last night and did great! We are so excited that he is now out of his crib and into a big bed, just in time for sissy to take over the crib.
