Roasted Chicken Anyone?

Last night I made roasted chicken for dinner...and not just one, but three. Let me just tell you it made the house smell wonderful! I figured if I'm going to make one, why not do all three and have dinner mostly made for the rest of the week. So yesterday was Roasted Chicken with all the yummy sides, tonight will be Chicken Noodle Casserole, tomorrow will be Chicken Taquitos, and the next night will be Chicken Pot Pie. I am very excited with this set up and hope to do this kind of cooking more often, because it really makes for easy dinner preparation for the rest of the week. Bon Appetit!

Family Time

As most of you know Tyson was gone for 2 weeks on a trip to Colorado. He has been back for a week and we are so excited! It was nice just to have family time together. We went to Chuck e Cheeses on Thursday night (the day he got home). We all had a blast! Pictures to come.

This weekend we went to a first birthday party for our friends daughter Madeline. We also hung around the house, enjoyed the nice cooler weather we are having, went to dinner and did some chores together. It was fun and boring at the same time, but all in all, it was such a great weekend...because having our DADDY home is the best! We really missed him and is so glad he is back! I love you babe!

Bath Time with Yaya

My mom goes by Yaya instead of Grandma. We all love it, and its very easy for Ryder to say. Actually he says it all the time but in more of a loud song voice, he thinks its more fun to yell it out, its really quite cute. When my mom is watching Ryder she likes to bathe him in her deep kitchen sink. Ryder loves both the tub and the sink, but the sink offers different views than the tub, so he has fun when they do this. Here is the sequence of photos my sister captured from one GOOFY bath session.

Ryder at 22 Months Old

This weekend August 14th, Ryder turned 22 months old. He is getting quite close to that 2nd birthday coming up in October, so we decided to get some pictures taken. My sister, Mom and myself took Ryder down to the mall for a fun little outing and some photos. Most of them are still being printed and sent to us, but we did get one. I love it! This is totally Ryder right now, he loves his toy cars, and pretty much has one in his hands at ALL times! He was not happy about getting his pictures taken at first, but calmed right down when we let him play with his truck "RED", and when the photographer started playing peek-a-boo with the lights on and off. He loved that and perked right up.

California & Colorado

Today marks the fifth day in the California/Colorado Remmert family split. Tyson is in Colorado for a couple weeks visiting family and checking out life in Colorado. A move may be in our future. Event though we will see him soon, we still miss him very much.

PS- As I type this I am feeling lots of little kicks from baby Rylie. Apparently, she too is looking forward to all this wonderful change and wants me to let you know.

It's an Ice Cream Day

Tyson just sent me the cutest email/photo string. It went like this...
Would you believe me if I told you that Ryder went to the store BY HIMSELF and bought ICE CREAM?! Don't know where else he could have gotten it :D

And that he knows how to put a bib on himself?

We decided it was an ice cream day :)

Boy or Girl?

Boy or Girl? This is such an exciting time and it seems like this is the question on every ones mind. Tyson and I cant wait to find out, our families and friends are so excited, and even people I work with are dying to know the sex of our baby.

The other questions that we get a lot are "Do you want a boy or a girl" or "Are you hoping for a girl since you have a boy, or are you hoping for a boy?" There are many variations of these questions, but you get the idea. Honestly, Tyson and I discuss this all the time, since it is so exciting not knowing yet. The general consensus from both of us is we really don't care. Don't get me wrong...we definitely care about this baby, but about more important things, like health. We will be thrilled with either and we just want a very healthy baby to add to our family.

I go through weeks where one week I will hope the baby is a boy, and think this baby is a boy, and the next week I will hope the baby's a girl and think the baby's a girl. There are definitely exciting points about either one. If we get a boy, we will have another son, a little brother for Ryder, very little brother for Wyatt, and a total blessing. I think it would be so much fun to have all boys, and get to dress them the same for special outings and school pictures, and have them able to play together with the same toys. It will also cut down tremendously on the costs because we wont have to buy many new baby items. Honestly, Ryder is such a good boy and such a joy to be around, and we have gotten really use to having boys, I cant even imagine myself as a mother of a girl. I'm sure that will change if we have a girl, but as of right now, that is my feeling. Also, along with having all boys, and being the only girl in the house, I would continue to be the princess of the house (or queen whatever you prefer)!

On the other hand, if we have a girl, we will have a whole new set of experiences to look forward to. We will get to buy the fluffy, frilly, cute, girlie things, and the pink stuff that goes with having a girl. I have to say the girl clothing section usually are much bigger than the boys sections, with many more options. Ryder will get a little sister to play with and protect. They would not be into each others toys or clothes, so that may cut down on the chaos and possible arguing in the future. Also, Tyson has been saying from day 1, the day he has a daughter is the day he buys a shot-gun. Mind you he has guns already, but this will give him an excuse to get one more..a shot-gun. In his mind he wants to be one of those Dads who scares away all boys who come buy to court our daughter, because he cant imagine that happening and wants to prevent it as long as possible. I think all Dads feel that way in the beginning, but it never really happens.

Tyson and I will be so thrilled and happy for this baby to be a boy or a girl, and we really are not leaning to one side or the other. Actually, our lean goes back and forth every week or so and usually we are thinking the opposite way from each other. This is just such an exciting time!

Dancing Machine!

Have I mentioned before that Ryder loves to dance! Any time music comes on whether it is upbeat or not, he leaps up and starts groovin! Here is one of his many special dance moves, that we all love so much!

4 Months

I am at the 4 month mark in my pregnancy and feeling great. I am so happy that the morning sickness has subsided and I am back to my normal self. I have to say this pregnancy thus far has been very similar to my pregnancy with Ryder. The morning sickness was about the same, energy, etc. However, one thing is completely different...cravings (or should we say aversions). With Ryder I loved sweets, I always have and it was no different in pregnancy, loved carbs, and fruit to name a few. This time I have been avoiding these like the plague. I do not want sweets or carbs of any kind, for some reason they leave a very weird taste in my mouth, so I just avoid them. It is so strange for me not to want cookies, pancakes, ice cream and doughnuts, etc. I usually love those things, I actually kind of miss them, but I think my waistline will thank me later! I also have not been big on fruit this time because of their sweetness. I have loved sandwiches (for breakfast), eggs (not for breakfast), bacon-egg-cheese biscuits (from McDonald's) cheese, meat, pizza (for breakfast), pretty much anything hearty this time around.

This weekend I will be 17 weeks along, and so ready to find out if this little baby-on-board is a boy or a girl. I have to say this week has been going by very fast as we anticipate finding out if we will have another great son or daughter #1. 3 more days of anticipation!
