Weekend Plans

I am definitely up to something!

Tyson is going to head out to Glamis to pick up our travel trailer and ride his dirt bike for the day then head home. Glamis is where we store our trailer during the fall and winter months, but when spring comes along it just gets too hot out there. We bring it closer to home so we can plan many fun camping trips to many fun places.

You know what this means...MOTHER/SON WEEKEND!!! Ryder and I will miss Daddy very much, but we will have a very fun weekend together too. The weather outlook says it should be about 80 all weekend...woohoo, I cant wait! We will visit the park, play outside, go to the taste of Ladera with friends, and maybe even venture to the mall.

Let the Workouts Begin!

Tyson and I are starting the P90X workout program tonight(for the second time). It is a three month workout and diet program, and we did it a few months back for 1 month, but it was during our move, and a few work conferences, so it got put on hold. We had great results the first time around, and we are really looking forward to the results this time after the full 3 months. Look out beach bodies here we come!

Up..Up...and Away!

A couple pictures from our weekend trip to Lake Arrowhead. I still need to download the ones from the camera. We went with a few friends and had a great time! Cant wait to go back.

Lake Arrowhead

This weekend we are meeting some friends in Lake Arrowhead. We are staying at a friends cabin, and looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend.

We will be visiting the village, baking/cooking together, playing games, doing some hiking, and spending some time by the lake as well.

Weekend in Review

It has been a whole week since my last post...sorry for the delay. We went to Las Vegas on Thursday to play in a Pai Gow tournament and just returned Sunday afternoon. We went with my Mom, Aunt Lori, Sister & Soon-to-be Brother-In-Law. We all had a great time, but unfortunatly none of us won the big money. My sister however did come in 6th in the tournament and won $1,500. That was the most exciting news I have to report. A few of us even qualified for the next black jack tournament in July.

Tyson and I have also decided that taking a baby to Vegas is not in the cards for us anymore. When he is older it will be much easier for us, but right now its so hard with nap times, and keeping him out of the smoke filled casinos. He was quite a trooper but we were all very excited to get home.

Vegas Vacation!

Watch out Vegas the Remmert's are coming to town.

As many of you know, Tyson and I love to gamble. It is one of our favorite things to do. You cant really say do together, because we like to sit at different tables. Its weird I know, but it makes sense for us.

Last time we were in Vegas, we qualified for a couple tournaments. One of them is happening this weekend at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Tyson and I will be playing in a Pai Gow poker tournament for free, with a free room for 3 nights, so we are really looking forward to it. Did I mention the winner takes home $50,000, and second takes home $25,000, third takes home $10,000 and then it goes down from there but I believe it pays out to 15.

Another cool thing about this tournament is that almost my whole family will be there. They qualified for the same tournament last time they were there, too.

I am hoping we all have a lucky streak during the tournament so we all can take home some moola! Think good thoughts for us, because we could really use that money! :)

Funny Things

1. Yesterday I saw a woman on a mo-ped with a bicycle strapped to the back. The bike was bigger than the scooter.

2. On Tuesday, when the weather was in the 50's in the morning, I saw a man walking around a business park area in a suit and bare feet.

3. Ryder always holds his hand out toward the fireplace (but keeps his distance) and says hot, yesterday he held his had over the front part of his diaper and said hot. Turns out he now thinks his "peeps" is hot or knows the difference between a fresh and wet diaper.

4. I parked next to a car that had 3 stuffed animals in the back seat...all had separate seat belts on.

5. We witnessed two crows trying to scare off a hawk on our street, and were doing a pretty good job.

6. Watching Kate Gosslin dance on Dancing with the Stars is funny and horrible at the same time. I cant believe she is still on the show!

7. Ryder loves Brie among many other adult tastes!

Have a happy day!

Ryder's Easter Basket

Ryder and his Easter Basket...He did not have to go on a quest to find it like Wyatt did (as shown in my previous post). The Easter Bunny made it much easier for Ryder and left it for him next to the warm fireplace.

Wyatt's Easter Basket Quest

Since Wyatt is 13 and it it just too easy to give him an Easter Basket we asked the Easter Bunny to make clues and hide the clues for him so he could go on a special Easter basket quest. He loves this type of stuff and so do we. It is so fun watching him run all upstairs, downstairs, outside, and back in from room to room. I believe this is the 3rd year that he has searched high and low for his Easter basket, and it gets harder every year. Here are some pictures from his quest...

Clues in trees

Clues in the woods

Clues in the grill

Clues in the pantry

Clues on the truck

Clues in the chest
Horay! He found it, that Easter Bunny gets trickier every year.

Happy Easter!

Easter 2010 was spent at my brother Jim's house. Him and his girlfriend Kelly put on a wonderful Easter Brunch with Easter Egg hunt and everything! This was the best Easter Egg hunt I have ever been on, complete with Movie tickets, candy, In&Out and Cinnamon Productions gift cards. It was quite fun for everyone!

Easter Eggs

Since I have an older step-son, I am always trying to think of new projects and games or things we can do that will appeal to him and us, and even possibly Ryder.

In my attempt at fun for all, this weekend we are going to try the following two egg dying ideas that I found on a parenting website.

Healthy Grocery Shopping

Tyson and I went through the first month of P90X a few months ago. However, life got so hectic we did not finish the rest of the three month program.

We decided that we are ready to start back up on Monday. This may sound easy enough because we have all the materials and have been through it before, but it takes a lot of planning to follow it completely.

The nutrition program is great, it consists of a lot of food, so you dont feel hungry, but its good for your food! We dont have things like turkey jerkey and soy nuts on hand usually, so I am going through and making a menu for our next week as well as a shopping list. This has taken me the most part of the day, but we are closing into a final list soon. I will let you know what it consists of when its complete.
